Telecommunications: Enabling Infrastructure for the Future

Telecommunications is the major enabler of new ways of working in the 21st Century.  There have been dramatic changes in network architecture and service capabilities over the past 20 years in response to new needs and applications.

The World Telecommunications Congress brings together leading experts from industry, academia and government to map out the future requirements for telecommunications technologies, applications and policy.
The World Telecommunications Congress builds on the traditions of quality, timeliness and open interaction from its origins in the ISS (International Switching Symposium) and ISSLS (International Symposium on Services and Local Access).

Submissions and Selection Criteria

Authors are invited to submit either full papers or short papers describing original, previously unpublished work, not currently under review by another conference or journal, addressing a novel aspect of the topic. All papers will be peer-reviewed and accepted papers will appear in the conference proceedings. Papers must be submitted electronically via EDAS (http://www.edas.info).

All submissions must conform to the templates available on the conference website. Full papers may be no longer than 6 pages. Short papers are mainly intended for work in progress or industry contributions. They should be no longer than 3 pages and should provide a succinct summary of the author’s contribution.

Submissions will be assessed on the basis of quality, novelty and relevance to the conference themes. Acceptance of a paper and publication in the proceedings is conditional on at least one author registering at the full rate and presenting the paper at the conference.
